The Way Station – Mir’s Birthday
Saturday was my friend MirMir’s 25th birthday, and she celebrated at the local Steampunk bar in Brooklyn, NY. The bar is called the Way Station and had a live performer on stage as well as an assortment of ray guns, slightly glowing green drinks and a TARDIS as a bathroom.
Mir and A Count Named Slick Brass.
Miss. Marina at the TARDIS.
Gothic Victorian Fantasy Author Leanna Renee Hieber (site, blog, twitter) posing with the birthday girl. I usually see Leanna doing her readings but I got to see her in just “Leanna” mode that night and it was cool to see her more relaxed than normal.
Birthday girl ‘borrowing’ a hat and looking fantastic.
Noam caught me across the room and posed. I can never catch this guy off guard.
ElsaWolf and her new fiance being cute on cue.
I wonder who thought it was a good idea to give MARY the sharp knife…
Shortly after this, the fight for Slick Brass’ hat and coat started.
The women win! I love the trisumphant look on Mir’s face and the look of resignation on Slick’s.
The final picture of the post: Mir wears the hat proudly and tiumphantly!
